Paralympic gold medalist forced to withdraw

Sep 20, 2017

Malaysia have missed out on a potential gold medal in a 100 meter event at the ASEAN Para Games, after Mohd Ridzuan Puzi was forced to withdraw.

The Paralympic gold medalist and World Champion was hospitalised over the weekend after being hit by dengue.

However, his teammates Raduan Emeari and Alif Malek managed to clinch the silver and bronze in the event, while the gold went to Indonesia.

It's still unclear if Ridzuan will be competing in his 400 meter event tomorrow and 200 meter event on Friday.
