Ozil to complete Fener switch this weekend

Former Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is expected to complete his move to Fenerbahce by this weekend. 

Ozil arrived in Turkey earlier this week, after cancelling his Gunners contract, and is currently under quarantine. 

Meanwhile, reports say that Ozil took a massive pay cut to to join the Istanbul club - he will only earn 67 thousand pounds a week, a small fraction of the 350 thousand pounds a week he was receiving at Arsenal.

Spurs Ings-terested in Southampton star

Tottenham could revive their interest in Southampton's Danny Ings, after failing to sign him last summer. 

Spurs are currently monitoring the forward's situation, as his contract talks with the Saints reportedly stalled. 

It's believed that the dispute centres around the size of his release clause.

Japan debunks mass vaccination report

Japan has denied reports that plans to start the mass COVID-19 vaccination of its citizens in May, just two months before the start of the Tokyo Olympics.

Earlier, a senior official with the London 2012 organising committee said he doubts that this year's games will go ahead as scheduled, amid the ongoing global pandemic. 

Several Japanese prefectors have declared emergencies amid a spike in coronavirus cases.

Meanwhile, recent polls show around 80 percent of Japanese citizens want the games to either be postponed or cancelled.
