At the Rio Olympics, Malaysia's archery squad failed to make the cut in the men's recurve event, after losing to France. 

MW national shooter Jonathan Wong crashed out in qualifying in the 10 meter air pistol event, finishing 28th out of 46 competitors. 

Young swimmer Welson Sim failed to reach the final in the 400 metre freestyle event. 

Tomorrow, Welson will return to the pool  in the 200m freestyle, while Phee Jing En competes in the Women's 100m breastroke.
