Norwich knock Tottenham out of FA Cup

Mar 05, 2020

Tottenham have made a shock exit from the FA Cup, at the hands of Premier League strugglers Norwich.

This, after Spurs missed three spot-kicks in a penalty shootout losing 3-2, following a 1-all draw in normal time.

Norwich will next face either Derby County or Man United, as they reach the FA Cup quarterfinals for the first time in 28 years.

Elsewhere, defending champions Man City beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-nil, to stay on course for a domestic and European cup treble.

Leicester also progressed, after beating Birmingham also 1-nil.

National track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang has earned a spot in the men's sprint event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Having already qualified for the keirin event, the ‘Pocket Rocketman’ is now assured of a chance to go for glory in his favourite event as well.

F1 will not hold races where there's coronavirus restrictions on teams

Formula 1 says it will not hold a race in a country that prevents any team from entering, as a result of coronavirus restrictions.

It adds that if a team makes its own choice not to go to a race, that's their decision, but where a team is prevented from going to a race because the country decides so, then it's difficult to have a fair competition.

This comes as Vietnam has imposed a 14-day quarantine period on visitors from Italy, while Bahrain has employed special measures to ensure its race can go ahead.

Organisers are hoping to introduce similar arrangements in Vietnam, but as of now, both races are scheduled to go on as planned.
