Nadal closes in on 16th Grand Slam title

Rafa Nadal is one step closer to a 16th Grand Slam title, after making the final of the US tennis Open. 

The Spaniard booked his spot with a four sets victory over Juan Martin Del Potro in the semis this morning.

Nadal will next take on Kevin Anderson, who made his first ever Grand Slam final, with a four sets win over Pablo Carreno Busta.

At number 32 in the world, Anderson is the lowest-ranked player to reach a major final, since the ranking system was introduced in 1973.
