Monaco defender travels to US for medical

Monaco defender Benjamin Mendy has travelled to the US for a medical, ahead of his transfer to Manchester City.
The move would make him the 3rd most expensive Premier League signing of the summer with a 52 million pound fee.
He is City's 5th major signing of the summer, following the additions of Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva, Ederson Moraes and Danilo.
Mendy's medical will take place in LA, as City are set to face Real Madrid in their pre-season tour there later this week.
