Sep 23, 2017
Paralympic champion Mohd Ridzuan Puzi overcame a bout of dengue to win the gold medal in the 200m T36 race, at the ASEAN Para Games yesterday.
Ridzuan had earlier been forced to skip his favourite event - the 100m - due to his illness.
Fellow Paralympian Abdul Latif Romly also took the gold in the long-jump.
Meanwhile, Form 5 student S Thavaneswaran won his 200m event yesterday, to add to the two other gold medals he won earlier in the 100m and 400m events, and a silver in the 4x100m.
This makes him the best athlete of the Games.
Malaysia picked up a total of 18 gold medals yesterday, including from badminton, bowling, chess and swimming.
