Men's Hockey: Malaysia beat Wales 3-nil

Apr 07, 2018

The Malaysian men's hockey team have beaten Wales 3-nil in their second Pool B match at the Commonwealth Games this morning.

It helps them bounce back following their 7-nil thrashing at the hands of England yesterday.

Among the other Malaysians in action today, swimmer Tern Jian Han qualified for the men's 50m backstroke semifinals.

Jeremiah Loo finished 16th in the men's artistic gymnastics individual all-round final.

While Abdul Mubin Rahim finished sixth in the men's 77kg weightlifting event.

Earlier, Datuk Nicol David and Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan have made the quarterfinals of the women's and men's squash singles.

While track cyclist Azizulhasni Awang battled through a lung infection, but could only manage a sixth place finish in the men's keirin final.

Malaysia have two gold medals at the Games so far, leaving us seventh in the medals tally. Australia top the table with 14 gold.

You can catch the action from the Commonwealth Games LIVE on Astro Arena Channel 801 and 802 in HD, and the dedicated channels of 790 to 795.
