Medical staff could soon be allowed access to footage of football matches

Jun 07, 2018

UEFA are discussing new rules, that will allow medical staff to review on-pitch incidents that could potentially cause concussions.

This would allow doctors to halt the match, to examine concussed players and give them treatment.

It's in response to the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Officials didn't see a collision between Liverpool's Loris Karius and Real's Sergio Ramos, which left the Reds' keeper with a concussion.

Karius was only diagnosed with the injury a week later.
