May 25, 2017
Manchester United's Ander Herrera has dedicated their Europa League victory to the victims of the Manchester Arena terror attack.
Herrera was named man of the match, after United beat Ajax 2-0 in the final this morning.
A minute's silence was observed before the match, in respect for the Manchester victims.
Elsewhere, Liverpool and Sydney FC had also paid their respects to the victims, before their end-of-season friendly in Australia.
They held a minute's silence, while the Australian champions also put the word 'Manchester' on the scoreboard in tribute.
Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, were among those who were fielded in the match.
Back in the UK, city officials have decided to allow the Great Manchester Run to go ahead as scheduled this weekend.
Europe's largest 10 kilometer run had more than 35,000 runners last year and there will also be a half-marathon this time.
Earlier, Chelsea had cancelled their Premier League victory parade, for the weekend, saying it would be inappropriate, in the wake of the Manchester tragedy.
