Man City overcome Tottenham to extend their EPL lead

Man City have gone seven points clear at the top of the EPL standings, after a 3-0 win over Tottenham at the Etihad.
It was also City’s 16th successive win in all competitions.

Meanwhile, Leicester City moved up to second, after fighting from a goal down to beat Liverpool 3-1.
This was the defending champion’s third successive defeat in the league.
In other results, Burnley overcame Crystal Palace 3-0.
While Brighton and Aston Villa played out a goalless draw.

Atletico Madrid went eight points clear at the top of La Liga after a 2-1 win over Granada.
Meanwhile, Barcelona leapfrogged Real Madrid into second place, after their 5-1 thrashing of Alaves.

Over in the Serie A, leaders AC Milan suffered a surprise 2-nil defeat to Spezia, while Napoli edged past Juventus 1-nil.
Zidane keen on France post
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane admits that he would like to coach the French national team one day, although he’s currently focused on his job with the La Liga giants.
It comes after the president of the French football federation indicated that Zidane would be his number one pick to take over from Didier Deschamps.
Osaka advances in Melbourne

Naomi Osaka is thru to the quarterfinals of the Australian tennis Open.
The third-seed booked her place with a hard-fought three-sets win over former Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza.
Osaka will next take on Hsieh Su Wei of Taiwan in the last eight.
