Man City escape FIFA transfer ban
Aug 14, 2019
Manchester City have avoided a FIFA transfer ban, after they admitted to breaching regulations on the signing of youth players.
The Premier League champions claim the breach was the result of a misinterpretation of the rules, and were fined 315 thousand pounds.
Chelsea had been found guilty of a similar offence earlier this year, but could not escape a transfer ban.
FIFA explained that City were let off lightly compared to the Blues, partly because they accepted responsibility for their actions.
