Olympic plans still on

Malaysia will be sending a contingent to the Tokyo Olympics despite fears over the current Covid-19 outbreak.

The Olympic Council of Malaysia says this is because there has not been any notification from the IOC about a postponement or cancelation.

For the record, the Rio Olympics were staged as scheduled...despite concerns about the spread of the Zika virus back in 2016.

Five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova has retired from tennis at the age of 32.

The Russian says a long-term shoulder injury played a major part in her decision to walk away from the sport.
