Malaysia wins first medal at Olympics

National divers, Cheong Jun Hoong and Pandelela Rinong are over the moon after they won the silver medal in the women's synchronised 10m platform event at the Rio Olympics, this morning.

It is Msia's first medal at the games in Rio.

The duo will be given a reward of 300 thousand ringgit to be shared between them, for their achievement. 

The reward is under a National Sports Council's incentive scheme, which also sees them immediately start receiving a lifetime monthly pension of RM3,000.
