Malaysia advance to quaterfinals of Badminton mixed team event

Malaysia has advanced to the quaterfinals of the Badminton mixed team event at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

The team, without Datuk Lee Chong Wei posted a 5-nil whitewash of Seychelles in their second match in Group D.

Malaysia will face Canada in the final group stage later today.

Over in men's hockey, Malaysia were beaten 7-nil by England in their first Pool B match.

The squad will will play Wales tomorrow.

Elsewhere, 11 year old Anna Hursey helped Wales overcome India 13-11 in table tennis.
