Malaysia: Asian Games progress

Malaysia fell to a 3-2 defeat to Bahrain, in their final group match at the Asian Games football event. 

However, Datuk Ong Kim Swee's side still progress to the second round, courtesy of our two earlier group victories.

Elsewhere at the Games, the men's hockey squad opened their campaign with a massive 16-2 win over Kazakhstan.

Meanwhile, it's the end of the road for the men's artistic gymnastics team, after all six members failed to qualify for any of the apparatus finals.

China currently leads the Asian Games medals tally with 15 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze.

Malaysia are in 19th place with one bronze medal.
