Malaysia: Asian Games progress

Datuk Nicol David is through to the quarterfinals of the squash event at the Asian Games, with a comfortable straight sets win over Li Dongjin of China.
Fellow Malaysians, S. Sivasangari, Ivan Yuen and Nafiizwan Adnan also qualified for the last eight of their respective events.
Elsewhere, Mohd Al Jufferi Jamari, Siti Shazwana Ajak and Muhammad Robial Sobri have all advanced in their respective Pencak Silat events.
In gymnastics, Farah Ann Abdul Hadi put on a strong showing in the women's uneven bars final to finish fifth.
Meanwhile, national swimmer Phee Jinq En finished fifth in the 50m breastroke final.
It capped off a satisfactory day for Malaysia at the Asian Games yesterday, where we added two silver medals in bowling and the equestrian event, taking our overall tally to one gold, three silver and one bronze.
