Liverpool maintain Premier League lead

Apr 15, 2019

Mohamed Salah scored a contender for goal of the season, to help Liverpool to a 2-nil win over Chelsea at Anfield.

Sadio Mane also found the back of the net, on what was Jurgen Klopp's 200th match in charge of the Reds.

For Chelsea, this was their first defeat at Anfield since 2012, and leaves them at risk on missing out on a top-four finish.

Liverpool are now two points ahead of Manchester City, who kept up the pressure on the leaders with a 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Raheem Sterling scored a brace, while Gabriel Jesus also got on the scoresheet.

City are also the first team from Europe's top five leagues to score more than 150 goals in all competitions this season.
