Liverpool MUST buy a defender NOW

Jan 05, 2021

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has urged the Reds to sign a new defender in the January transfer window.

The EPL leaders are currently in a run of poor results, and Carragher reckons this is partly due to the long-term injuries to key defenders Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip.

Liverpool have only collected 2 points from their last three games, meaning that Man United and Man City could overtake them in the table if they win their games in hand.

Another ex-Chelsea player could take charge at Stamford Bridge

Ukraine coach Andriy Shevchenko could make a return to his former club Chelsea.

Shevchenko, who spent 3 years at Stamford Bridge back in his playing days, is the latest name to be linked to the Chelsea manager's job IF they decide to sack Frank Lampard.

Other potential targets include Leicester's Brendan Rodgers and former PSG coach Thomas Tuchel.

Lamaprd is said to be under pressure, after losing 4 of their last 6 matches.

MotoGP could return to Malaysia next month

Malaysia's first international sporting event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic could be held next month.

According to Crash.net, MotoGP is waiting for a decision from the Malaysian govt, on whether pre-season testing in Sepang can go ahead as planned.

The report says if approval is given, the sport will be subjected to strict SOPs, such as regular COVID-19 screenings, while teams and officials will be confined to a bubble.
