Lionel Messi surpasses 500th goal-mark

Lionel Messi has surpassed the 500th goal-mark in his career, as he netted a hat-trick in Barcelona's 7-0 win over Valencia.
Messi now has 501 goals for club and country, which includes the 16 goals he scored during his time with Argentina's Under 20 and Under 23 national teams.
However, club teammate Luis Suarez outscored Messi in the game this morning with 4 goals, to give Barca a comfortable lead in their Copa Del Rey semifinal tie.
