Klopp: Liverpool are not the best team in Europe

Sep 17, 2019

Boss, Jurgen Klopp has dismissed claims that Liverpool are the best team in Europe, simply because they won last season's Champions League.

"We cannot be the best team in Europe because Manchester City are the best team in the world! that's the same planet, I heard."

"Last season, we were really good. I'm not too sure we were the best team in Europe, but we were really good in the right moments and that's why we won the Champions League."

He said this ahead of Liverpool's opening Champions League clash at Napoli tomorrow morning.

Forward Divock Origi has been ruled out due to an ankle injury, while left-back Andy Robertson has been clearned to play, after picking up a knock in last weekend's win over Newcastle.

Man United have already identified their top two targets for next summer's transfer window - Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, and Leicester midfielder James Maddison.

According to ESPN, United think that Sancho can solve their problems in right-wing.

Meanwhile they reckon that Maddison will add intensity, passing ability and set-piece quality to the team.

The Red Bull F1 team has urged the FIA to investigate Ferrari's improved engine, to see if it follows the rules.

According to reports, Red Bull is skeptical about the engine's increased power, which allowed driver Charles LeClerc to win back to back races in Belgium and Italy recently.
