Kante an injury doubt for Europa League final

May 27, 2019

Injury concerns for The Blues

Chelsea midfielder Ngolo Kante is reportedly a doubt for his side's EUROPA League final against Arsenal this week.

The Frenchman is believed to have picked up a knee problem in training, and will need to be assessed in the coming days to see if he'll be fit for the tie.

His absense will leave The Blues with just three fit central midfielders for Thursday's final against the Gunners in Baku.

United won't bother with de Ligt

Man United have reportedly ruled out a move for Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt.

The Red Devils had earlier been linked with the 19 year old defender, but see no point in trying to sign the player, as they believe its almost certain he will join Barcelona.

De Ligt himself says he's yet to make a decision on his future, although he hinted that a move to Spain or the Premiership is likely.

De Rossi and Allegri say goodbye

Veteran midfielder Daniele De Rossi has played his final match for Roma in their 2-1 win over Parma.

The World Cup winner makes his exit having made 616 appearances for the club.

Elsewhere, Max Allegri's five-year reign as Juventus manager has ended in defeat, with the Serie A champions losing 2-nil to Sampdoria on the final day of the season.
