Johorian is the first national track and field athlete to earn a spot at the Rio Olympics

Nauraj Singh Randhawa is the first national track and field athlete to earn a spot at the Rio Olympics.

The Johorian cleared 2.29 meters to win gold at the Singapore Open, while also breaking the national record of 2.27m held by Lee Hup Wei.

Nauraj joins 12 other Malaysian athletes from archery, cycling, diving, swimming, sailing and shooting that will be heading to Brazil in August.
