Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen and Egypt are among those who have cut diplomatic ties with Qatar for allegedly supporting terrorist groups.
Experts now say this could fuel a campaign by critics to stop Doha from hosting football's biggest tournament.
