Goalkeeper set to captain England for World Cup qualifier

Mar 26, 2017

England goalkeeper, Joe Hart will captain the national team when they face Lithuania in their Group E World Cup qualifier tonight.

Manager Gareth Southgate says he thought long and hard about the decision, but feels his most capped player is the right choice to wear the armband.

Tonight, there will be a minute's silence and a pre-match wreath-laying ceremony for the victims of the Westminster attack in London, while England will wear black armbands.

You can catch the match between England and Lithuania tonight at 11.50pm, live on Astro Supersport 3, Channel 816.
