Formula 1 launches Virtual Grand Prix series

Formula 1 has announced the launch of a new F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix series, featuring a number of current F1 drivers.
The series has been created to enable fans to continue watching Formula 1 races virtually, despite the ongoing COVID-19 situation that has affected this season’s opening race calendar.
The virtual races will run in place of every postponed Grand Prix, starting tomorrow with the Virtual Bahrain GP.
Thomas and Uber Cup Finals postponed to August

The Badminton World Federation has confirmed that this year’s Thomas and Uber Cup Finals that was supposed to take place in Denmark in May has been postponed to August.
BWF says this is due to concerns over the Covid-19 outbreak.
Meanwhile, it says the last five tournaments in the qualification period for the Tokyo Olympics have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The All England Open is the final event to count towards Olympic qualification, with rankings at the end of April deciding which players will be at the Tokyo Games.
European football planning on resuming in May

The president of La Liga president says Europe's top leagues and competitions are planning to resume in mid-May following Euro 2020's postponement.
The coronavirus pandemic has led to the suspension of all club football.
The European Championship's move to next summer means there is more time to complete domestic league seasons.
This comes after the English football extended their suspensions until April 30th.
