Federer named Wimbledon's 3rd seed

Roger Federer has been named Wimbledon's 3rd seed, despite currently being ranked 5th in the world.

This, as world number 3, Stan Wawrinka has been named 5th seed.

Defending champ Andy Murray tops the seedings, while Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal round out the top 4.

This is the first time since Wimbledon 2014, that Murray, Djokovic, Federer and Nadal have been named top seeds for a Grand Slam.

Over in the women's category, Germany's Angelique Kerber has been named the top seed, followed by Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova and Elina Svitolina.
