FIFA may hold Ballon d'Or ceremony, in London
Sep 15, 2016
FIFA's previous rock-bottom relationship with the English FA has improved to the extent it wants to stage the Ballon d'Or ceremony, in London.
The event is traditionally held in FIFA's home city of Zurich early in the year, but there's a desire to add more glitz and numbers to the occasion with a change of venue.
Contact has been made with the FA over the matter, but no deal has been done yet.
The FA's previous chairman, Greg Dyke has made no secret of his dislike for FIFA, but FIFA president Gianni Infantino has helped build bridges with current FA chairman Greg Clarke.
