FAM President aiming for Harimau Malaya to qualify for World Cup

FAM President, the Crown Prince of Johor is aiming for Harimau Malaya to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
He told Sky Sports that he feels the target is realistic, but efforts to reach it need to start now, including changing the mindset of those involved.
Separately, the Kedah FA wants to hold talks with FAM, to come up with a win-win solution for coach Tan Cheng Hoe.
This, after Cheng Hoe submitted his resignation letter to the Kedah FA, on rumours he will be appointed assistant coach with Harimau Malaya.
The Kedah FA says as long as it has not received a formal request from the FAM on hiring him, they will consider Cheng Hoe under their employment.
