Ex-WDA president calls Maria Sharapova reckless
Mar 09, 2016
Former World Anti-Doping Agency president Dick Pound has decribed Maria Sharapova's failed drugs test as "reckless beyond description".
He says the tennis star should have known that meldonium was to be banned in January, as a notice on the matter was issued at the end of September.
Sharapova will be provisionally suspended from 12th March, and faces up to a four-year ban, after testing positive for the banned substance at the Australian tennis open.
