Euro Roundup - 12 June

Jun 12, 2016

Wales kicked off their Euro 2016 campaign with a 2-1 victory over Group B opponents Slovakia.

Gareth Bale and Hal Robson-Kanu scored to put Wales, who are in their first major international tournament, at the top of Group B.

They are ahead of England, who conceded a late goal to draw 1-all with Russia.

Meanwhile, in the build-up to England vs Russia was marred, due to reports of clashes between both sets of supporters in the city of Marseille.

In one of the clashes, police fired tear gas to break up a fight after bottles were thrown.

Also in the Euros, Switzerland posted a 1-nil win over Albania in their Group A clash.
