Euro 2016 news - 17 June

Jun 17, 2016

Zlatan Ibrahimovic can become the first player to score at 4 different European Championships, if he's on target for Sweden in their Euro match against Italy tonight.

He's also had the pleasure of scoring against Italy at Euro 2004.

Despite the danger posed by Zlatan, critics say Sweden's performance in their opening Euro match was flat, in contrast to the Italians, who beat Belgium 2-nil.

Zlatan vs Italy kicks off at 9pm tonight.

In another match, Spain will attempt to slaughter Turkey from 3am.

And Daniel Sturridge has urged his England teammates not to get carried away, following their dramatic victory over Wales in the Euros.

He says the team should stay grounded with one more group match to go, but admits the atmosphere and togetherness among the players is unbelievable.

The Liverpool striker, introduced as a half-time substitute, changed the game in England's favour, scoring an injury-time winner for a 2-1 victory.
