England players were left "shocked" after some of the Wembley crowd jeered Wayne Rooney during the team's 2-nil win over Malta at the weekend.
They've come to their captain's defence, with John Stones and Jordan Henderson saying he was brilliant and had put on a fantastic performance on the pitch.
Rooney, who has scored only one goal in 12 games for club and country this season, was barracked by a small section of the 81,000 fans as he played in midfield.
