England could hire a foreign manager

Jun 29, 2016

England could hire a foreign manager as Roy Hodgson's successor.

The likes of Gareth Southgate, Glenn Hoddle and Harry Redknapp have been mentioned to take over, but the FA chief executive says they are looking for the best person, not necessarily the best Englishman.

Meanwhile, former England and Liverpool defender Jamie Carrager has backed the idea and picked USA's German coach Jurgen Klinsmann for the post.

Klinsmann, as coach has been to a World Cup semi-final with Germany, a Copa America semi-final with the United States, and had a couple of stints with Tottenham as a player.
