Manchester City and Liverpool had to settle for a point apiece, after their Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium ended in a 1all draw.

Sergio Aguero scored for City midway through the second half to cancel out James Milner's penalty shortly after the break.

The result kept City 3rd in the standings, 2 points behind Tottenham, who won 2-1 against Southampton.

Spurs are 10 points behind leaders Chelsea.

Mw, the early kick-off last night saw Manchester United move up to 5th after beating Middlesbrough 3-1.

United are now 4 points behind Liverpool but with 2 games in hand.
