Could Messi be the brains behind Argentina?

Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli has once again been forced to deny that he has lost the support of his squad.

This, after video showed him and his star player Lionel Messi in an off-the-pitch discussion during their group game against Nigeria.

It has lead to speculation that it was actually Messi who was calling the shots in terms of tactics.

Sampaoli, however insisted that he remains in charge, adding that he was merely passing on a message to Messi.
