Chelsea's hopes of retaining Premier League title suffer a blow

Dec 10, 2017

Chelsea's hopes of retaining the Premier League title have suffered a severe blow, after suffering a shock 1-0 defeat to West Ham.

The Hammers scored the only goal after just 6 minutes, when Marko Arnautovic netted his first goal for the club after joining them in July.

Despite the result, which gives David Moyes his first win since taking over as manager, West Ham still remain in the bottom 3, while Chelsea are 11 points behind leaders Manchester City ahead of their game against 2nd-placed Manchester United early tomorrow morning.

In other Premier League matches,

Harry Kane scored a brace to help Tottenham beat Stoke, 5-1

Jermain Defoe scored his 200th league goal, as he helped Bournemouth hold Crystal Palace off to a 2-2 draw.

Swansea captain Wilfried Bony scored in back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since 2014, as they beat West Brom 1-0.

An own goal in the final minutes saw Newcastle lose 3-2 to Leicester

And Burnley pipped Watford 1-0
