Chelsea clinch 11th successive Premier League win

Dec 18, 2016

Diego Costa led Chelsea to their 11th successive Premier League win yesterday by helping them beat Crystal Palace 1-0.

However, Costa received his 5th yellow card of the season during the match and as a result, will not be able to play in their Boxing Day match against Bournemouth.

His teammate N'Golo Konte will join him on the sidelines as he also received his 5th yellow card of the season.

The Blues are now 9 points clear at the top of the table.

Meanwhile, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is over the moon with their 2-0 win over West Brom this morning, saying his team can now finally get some rest.

He was also full of praise for Zlatan Ibrahimovich who helped them win the match with a brace, and celebrated his 9th and 10th goal in 9 matches with the club.

The victory means United are now unbeaten in 10 matches in all competitions, and have drawn level on points with 5th placed Tottentenham on the EPL table.

This, as West Brom boss Tony Pulis says he is looking to add 1 or 2 players in the January transfer window, following their defeat to United.

In other Premier League matches,
Middlesbrough beat Swansea 3-0,
Stoke and Leicester drew 2-2,
Sunderland beat Watford 1-0,
and West Ham defeated Hull 1-0.
