May 27, 2020

The win leaves Bayern seven points clear of Dortmund, with six games left in the season.

The Bavarian side are also unbeaten in 18 matches in all competitions, as they close in on their eighth successive German top-flight title.

Premier League clubs are set to vote later today, whether to move on to the second phase of Project Restart.

Phase two will see teams return to close contact training, with players allowed to work together in groups of 10.

The third phase, if it gets that far, will move towards a more typical form of training with tackling as the teams build up towards the resumption of the suspended season.

This, after widespread criticism of the new schedule, which includes a whopping 22 events in five months, to make up for lost time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The BWF, however, has clarified that the calendar merely provides an opportunity for players to return to competitive action, adding that regulations will also be changed, so that players are not fined for missing tournaments.
