Australian Open organisers defend decision not to close roof
Jan 29, 2018
Organisers of the Australian Open have defended the decision not to close the roof, during Saturday's Women's Singles final between Caroline Wozniacki and Simona Halep.
They say while the temperature was high, it wasn't hot enough for them to close the roof.
Halep needed medical treatment during her 3 sets defeat to Wozniacki, and she was briefly hospitalised after the match due to dehydration.
