Arsenal step up Partey pursuit

Jul 07, 2020

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to use Alexandre Lacazette in part exchange for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

Insiders say Partey is keen to join the Gunners next season, but the club are struggling to find the cash to fund the transfer.

Using Lacazette in a swap deal would appear to be a sensible option, especially with the Frenchman facing an uncertain future at the Emirates.

Go slow with Greenwood

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is pleading for Man United rising star Mason Greenwood not to be rushed into the England national team.

Lampard, a former international himself, says the 18-year-old has tremendous potential but should be given sufficient time to further develop and mature.

Greenwood's impressive display for United has already prompted calls for him to be included in the Three Lions squad for next year's European Championships.

Serie A side AC Milan have reportedly signed former RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick as their new manager for next season.

The German, who was once a target of Bayern Munich and Man United, will replace Stefano Pioli, who has been in charge at Milan since October last year.

Federer eyes Wimbledon and Olympic glory

Roger Federer is turning his attention to 2021 as he recovers from two knee surgeries that will keep him out of action for the rest of the year.

The Swiss tennis star says he's hoping to make next year's edition of Wimbledon, and is also not ruling out attempting to win an Olympic medal, even though he will be 40 around the time the Tokyo Games take place.
