Abramovich: Lampard remains a club icon despite sacking

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has made it clear that Frank Lampard remains a legend at the club, despite his sacking as Blues boss yesterday.
Lampard – who won three league titles and the Champions League during his PLAYING career with the Blues - was dismissed with the London club currently ninth in the League standings, having won just one of their last five matches.
Ex-Borussia Dortmund and PSG coach Thomas Tuchel is expected to take over at Stamford Bridge.
Spurs avoid an upset

Tottenham are through to the fifth round of the FA Cup after a late 4-1 win over Wycombe this morning.
The match was tied at one goal apiece before Spurs scored three times in the final four minutes to secure the win.
The will now take on Everton in the next round.
Lockdown matches keep players calm
An Austrian study has found that footballers are calmer when playing behind closed doors.
According to the study, there was a nearly 20% decrease in emotional behavior and arguments between players and match officials, when games are played without fans in attendance.
No cutting queue

The World Health Organisation says its main priority is ensuring that health workers worldwide be given the Covid-19 vaccine.
It was responding to recent suggestions for athletes participating at the upcoming Tokyo Olympics to be allowed to ‘cut the queue’ and get the vaccine before the Games.
