Enzo Maresca has reportedly agreed terms on a five-year deal to become Chelsea’s next manager.

The Leicester City boss will take over from Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge…fresh after guiding the Foxes back up into the Premiership.

Insiders say the paperwork is now being finalized, with an official announcement by Chelsea expected before the weekend.

In a related development…Kieran McKenna has signed a new four-year deal to remain in charge of recently-promoted Ipswich …despite rumoured interest from Man United.

The Professional Footballers Association is warning that players could go on strike if they continue to be overworked.

The PFA says players are reaching breaking point because of the congested calendar, especially with the expanded 32-team Club World Cup proposed for next summer.
