Liverpool have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League standings after a 5-0 thrashing of West Ham this morning.

The Reds are now eight points clear at the summit and have not lost a league game since September.

Meanwhile Nottingham Forest’s remarkable run continued with their 2-0 win over Everton moving them up into second place.

In other selected results, Man City picked up only their second win in 10 EPL games, beating Leicester 2-0.

While Tottenham and Wolves played out a 2-2 draw.

Over in the Serie A…second-placed Napoli had a 1-0 win over Venezia

Juventus were held to a 2-2 draw by Fiorentina

While AC Milan and Roma played out a 1-1 draw.

Closer to home…two-time champions Vietnam have cruised into the ASEAN Cup final after beating Singapore 3-1 in their semifinal second leg to wrap up a 5-1 victory on aggregate.

Vietnam now awaits the winners of today’s other semifinal tie between Thailand and the Philippines with the Filipinos leading by two goals to one.

And, the Malaysian Mountaineering Federation has set a target of having at least one athlete qualify for the sport climbing event at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
