Is This Man United's Next Manager?

Oct 29, 2024

is this man united's next manager?

Man United are reportedly close to getting their next manager.

According to UK media, this is after Sporting Lison's Ruben Amorim agreed to take the job, following Erik ten Hag's sacking.

It's also believed that United are also willing to pay Amorim's €10 million euro release clause and are now trying to finalise a deal with the Portuguese club.

United announced ten Hag's sacking last night after a poor start to the season, with club legend Ruud van Nistelrooy being named interim boss.

Ten Hag's sacking means that United have now gone through 6 managers since Alex Ferguson's retirement.

Real Madrid have explained the reason for boycotting this year's Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Initial reports suggested that Real's Vinicius Jr was the favourite to win the prize, before the award went to the actual winner, Man City's Rodri.

Real's president says it was disrespectful to the club as they felt Vinicius had a better overall season.

The boycott meant that no club officials were present at the ceremony, when Carlo Ancelotti was named Best Coach, while Real won Club of the Year.

Meanwhile, French media have criticsed Real Madrid's decision to boycott the Ballon d’Dor ceremony after learning that Vinicius would not win the prize.

They accused Real of trampling on sporting values such as respect.

Also, Vinicius believes the missed out on winning this year's prize because of his anti-racism campaign.

The player has been constantly speaking out about the problem on social media, and he says this may have influenced Ballon d'Or voters.
