Pandelela claims bronze at FINA World Championships

Datuk Pandelela Rinong has picked up a bronze medal in the women’s 10m platform final at the FINA World Championships.

The Malaysian put in a consistent performance over her five dives to finish behind two other competitors from China.

This is an improvement on her fifth-place finish in the last edition back in 2019.

The deputy head of the Malaysian Commonwealth Games contingent says the country’s seven-gold medal target will have to be revised, now that squash star S.Sivasangari will not be competing.

This, after the 23-year-old was forced to pull out of the Games, after sustaining serious injuries in a car accident.

Chelsea are said to be preparing a bid for Man City striker Raheem Sterling.

Insiders say the Blues have already made contact with the Premiership champions, with talks between both clubs believed to be progressing well.

Chelsea are currently in the market for a striker, with Romelu Lukaku set to rejoin Inter Milan on loan.

Man United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong.

The Red Devils reportedly had a 60 million euros offer turned down last week but are believed to have reached an agreement on a deal closer to 75 million.

UK sources say both clubs are hoping to finalize the transfer by the end of the week.
