Classico: Barca Humiliates Real

Oct 27, 2024

classico: barca humiliates real

Barcelona have taken a 6-point lead at the top of La Liga after thrashing Real Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabeu.

Robert Lewandowski scored a brace early in the second half, while Lamine Yamal and Raphinha also found the back of the net.

Yamal's strike put him in the history books as the youngest-ever El Classico goal scorer, smashing a record that has stood for 77 years.

The result also means that Real missed out on matching Barca’s record of going unbeaten for 43 league matches which they set between 2017 and 2018.

Meanwhile, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti says his team paid the price for missing several goal scoring chances.

He reckons the game was evenly matched until Barca scored their first goal.

--

Title rivals Liverpool and Arsenal will go head-to-head tonight, in their Premier League clash in London.

Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to start on goal again for Liverpool due to Alisson Becker’s injury, while Harvey Elliott and Diogo Jota are also sidelined.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be without the suspended William Saliba, while Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori and Jurien Timber are injury doubts.
