Slot Gets His First League Win At Anfield

Liverpool have picked up their second EPL win of the season after beating Brentford 2-0 at Anfield.

This was also Arne Slot’s first home league win as new Reds boss.

He’s now the first Liverpool manager since Graeme Souness in 1991, to win his first two games in charge.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have picked up their first win of the season, beating Wolves 6-2

While Newcastle played out a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.

Over in La Liga…Real Madrid enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Valladolid...while Atletico overcame Girona also 3-0.

In selected Serie A results…Napoli defeated Bologna 3-0…Empoli recorded a 2-1 victory over Roma…while Torino overcame Atalanta, also by two goals to one.

And, McLaren’s Lando Norris has won the Dutch F1 GP…taking the chequered flag ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finishing third.

It cuts Verstappen’s lead over Norris in the drivers’ standings to just 70 points…with nine races to go this season.
