Van Dijk Wants Slot

Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk believes that Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is the best man to replace outgoing manager Jurgen Klopp.  

Van Dijk says Slot is one of the best Dutch coaches currently, and his footballing philosophy is compatible with the Anfield club.  

This, as Slot confirmed that he is keen to join Liverpool, once Klopp steps down at the end of the season.

Chelsea confirmed that midfielder Enzo Fernandez will be out for the rest of the season, after the World Cup winner underwent surgery on a groin injury.  

However, the Argentine could return to fitness ahead of the Copa America in June.  

Meanwhile, reports say that Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer has recovered from illness and could return to action for this weekend's EPL match against Aston Villa.

Red Bull has played down rumours claiming that their technical chief Adrian Newey wants to leave the F1 champions.  

They insist that Newey, who designed their all-dominant car, is contracted until at least the end of next year.
