Statues of Man City legends Vincent Kompany and David Silva will be installed outside the Etihad stadium, ahead of this weekend's Premier League game against Arsenal.

Meanwhile a third statue, of record scorer Sergio Aguero, will join them next year.

City say the statues will serve as a reminder of the contributions that Kompany, Silva and Aguero made to the club's transformation.

Man United's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the latest manager to criticise the Premier League's directive to referees, to be more lenient on fouls.

Speaking after United's 1-all draw against Southampton, he said that Bruno Fernandes was clearly fouled, in the build-up to Southampnts' opening goal...

"We can't go from one extreme of volleyball or basketball last season to rugby now. I like the more lenient way, it's more men's football, but, still, that's a foul".

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had also criticised the policy, which is aimed at improving the flow of matches.
